BEAUMONT, Texas – The Lamar University women's tennis team returns to action Friday when they travel back to Corpus Christi, Texas for the A&M-Corpus Christi Islander Open 2. The three-day, individual format tournament will consist of Big Red, host A&M-Corpus Christi, UTSA and UTEP.
The Islander Open will consist of three draws of singles competition and two doubles' brackets. Play is slated to begin at 9 a.m. each day from the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center.
The Islander Open 2 will be the next to last fall tournament for the Red and White. The Cardinals will also take part in the Sam Houston Invitational Oct. 28 – Oct. 30 to wrap up the fall slate.
