BEAUMONT, Texas – The Lamar University men's tennis team returns to action Friday when they travel back to Corpus Christi, Texas for the A&M-Corpus Christi Islander Open 2. The three-day, individual format tournament will mark the end of the fall season for the Cardinals.
The Cardinals will be squaring off against players from UT Arlington and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. The tournament will consist of two flights of singles and one doubles bracket. Play is slated to begin at 9 a.m. each day from the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center.
The Islander Open 2 will signify the end of the Cardinals' 2022 fall season. Big Red will open their spring season Saturday, Jan. 14
th, with a doubleheader against Prairie View A&M in Prairie View.
