BEAUMONT, Texas – The Lamar University softball team has announced its high school camp dates and summer mini camps for the summer. All camps will be held at the LU Softball Complex.
 
The Cards will have two dates for the mini camps. Camp 1 will take place Tuesday, June 11 and Camp 2 will take place Tuesday, July 16. There will be three sessions of the mini camps that will give you training to excel. Are you a catcher looking to get better defensively? Sign up for our pitching/catching camp where we have a section for defense built in. Want to come to more than one camp session? The mini camps offer a pitching/catching, hitting and defensive camps. These camps are for High School level players only. The first camp is the Team Camp on Sunday, July 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The team camp is designed for all high school level players who want to take their game to the next level. Every part of the game during this camp will be touched. There will be live scrimmages towards the end of camp. Registration fee for the Team Camp on Sunday, July 21 is $100.
 
The next camp for High School level players is the Prospect Camp on Saturday, August 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is an elite level camp for high school age athletics ready to showcase their skill. It will cover all aspects of the game and camp will close out with a live scrimmage. Registration fee for the Prospect Camp is set for $100.
 
For the high school camps, there will be a one-hour lunch break from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch will NOT be provided for campers.
