Big Red Away at Aggies in Baseball Mid-Week

BEAUMONT, Texas - Wrapping up a streak of seven road games in the past eight games overall, Lamar University (9-14) will play at Texas A&M (21-5) on Tuesday. First pitch for the Cardinals and Aggies is at 6:30 p.m. in Blue Bell Park.

THE LAST TIME OUT - AT NORTHWESTERN STATE (MARCH 22-24)

Dominating the Demons through eight innings, Lamar University needed every one of its four runs scored Friday in a deceivingly close 4-3 decision over Northwestern State. The Cardinals led 4-0 over the Demons but a tricky eighth inning almost played spoiler for LU.

Leading 2-1 through five innings, Lamar University couldn't quite hold on at Northwestern State on Saturday, ultimately falling 5-2 to the Demons. The Cards matched NSU in hits but stranded seven on base.

Despite scoring six runs on 11 hits, Lamar University didn't have quite enough offense to cancel out free bases awarded to Northwestern State. The Demons emerged on top of the Cards in a 10-6 decision Sunday despite being outhit 11-7 by Big Red's bats. Seven walks, five hit batters, four wild pitches, three errors, and a passed ball allowed plagued LU in the game.
