HUMBLE, Texas – After 36-holes of competition, the Lamar University men's golf team has improved to 12th place at The All-American hosted by the University of Houston.

Over the first two days, Lamar has shot 26-over par 602 (303-299). Sam Houston State leads the tournament with a score of three-under par 573 (283-290). Full team and individual leader boards can be found by clicking

Kevin Lee had the best day at the Golf Club of Houston. Over the 7067-yard par 72 course, Lee shot his best round of the season in round two. He shot one-under par 71 in the second round. It is his first round under par this season. Lee sits tied for 12th with a score of one-over par 145 (74-71).

Coming in second for the Cardinals was
Cody Banach. Banach dropped six spots in the standings with a round of three-over par 75 in the second round. He is tied for 31st place with a score of four-over par 148 (73-75).

Eason Wang finds himself two shots behind Banach. Wang fired a round of five-over par 77 in the second round. He is tied for 43rd place with a score of six-over par 150 (73-77).

Moving up five spots in the standings was
Sam Dumez. Dumez shot a second-round score of four-over par 76. With the second round of 76, Dumez was two shots off his season average. He finds himself tied for 77th place with a score of 15-over par 159 (83-76).

Rounding out the Cards was
Hugo Hellman. Hellman improved ten shots from the first day and shot five-over par 77 in the second round. He is in 83rd place with a score of 20-over par 164 (87-77).

The Cards return to the course tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 19 when they play in the final round of The All American. LU tees off at 8 a.m. from hole 10. The Cardinals will be playing with McNeese and Louisiana-Lafayette.
