Cards vs. ORU Tennis Cancelled

BEAUMONT, Texas – Mother Nature refused to cooperate with the Lamar University men's tennis team this weekend forcing the Cardinals to cancel its match with Oral Roberts. The Cardinals (0-3) played Denver Friday afternoon and was scheduled to play ORU Saturday morning at 10 a.m. and Prairie View A&M Saturday afternoon.

After several weather delays, the courts dried enough to begin the doubles competition between Big Red and ORU only to have the match delayed again approximately 40 minutes later. The two teams were slated to resume play Sunday at 9 a.m. but were forced to cancel the match.

LU's match against Prairie View A&M will be rescheduled at a later date.
