AUSTIN, Texas - Dusan Savkovic improved to 5-2 in singles play as he helped the Lamar University men's tennis team claim a 6-3 non-conference victory over host St. Edward's on Sunday.

Savkovic posted a 7-6, 2-6, 6-4 win over Alexandre Bueno at No. 5 singles for the Cardinals (3-4). Denis Ermilov, Marton Horvath and Diego Snyder also won at singles for Lamar, which also won two of the three doubles matches.

St. Edward's fell to 2-4.

Lamar is at Air Force for a non-conference match at 4 p.m. Friday.
