The Lamar University men's tennis team improved to 3-1 on the season with a 4-3 victory over visiting St. Edward's on Friday afternoon.

The Lamar men won at third through sixth singles to pull out the win against St. Edward's. Marton Horvath clinched the victory by rallying for a 3-6, 7-6 (3), 6-4 win over Justin Riati at third singles.

Rob Lee, Diego Snyder and Denis Ermilov also won singles matches for the Cardinals.

The Lamar men host Florida A&M at 1 p.m. Saturday.
