BEAUMONT, Texas - Head coach
Nathan Kogut announced the non-conference schedule for Lamar University Wednesday. The Cardinals will play eight games, including four at the LU Soccer Complex.
"We are thrilled to announce our full 2025 schedule finally," head coach
Nathan Kogut said. "We've had to move some pieces around but I believe we have a lot of different opponents that will present different questions for us to answer for the first month. Being able to spend time on the road early in the year will help us build a closer team that is battle-tested before we enter conference play."
Before the regular season commences, LU will have two exhibition games as they host Blinn College (Aug. 4) and hit the road to Baton Rouge to face LSU (Aug. 9). August will see LU spend four of their first five games on the road as the regular season starts against Louisiana (Aug. 14th). After hosting Texas A&M last year, the Cardinals will travel to College Station to meet with the Aggies on Aug. 17th before taking on UTSA in San Antonio (Aug. 24th).
The Cardinals' home opener will be on Aug. 28th as they will welcome in UC Davis. The first month of the season ends with a road trip to Huntsville to meet with Sam Houston (Aug. 31). As September begins, Big Red concludes its non-conference portion with three straight home contests against Rice (Sep. 7th), Texas A&M-San Antonio (Sep. 11th), and LSU-Alexandria (Sep. 14th).
