COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Lamar University added seven top-10 finishes Saturday at Texas A&M's 44 Farms Invitational. The women's 4x400m relay team had the best finish of the day, taking fifth place in their event.

Chantell Bowman,
Bria DeGray, and
Hannah Roberts clocked in a time of 3:49.61. They were two seconds behind fourth-place Nebraska and edged out TCU's B squad to earn the top-five finish. Smith and Bowman later joined
Ahmasia Brown and
Kayli Johnson in the women's 4x100m relay and crossed the line in seventh at 45.21.
Johnson also competed in the 100H and took home ninth at 13.48 seconds.
Elijah Jackson was tied for sixth in the high jump by clearing a height of 2.04m (6-8.25). Mariam Buenanueva-Saleme finished the heptathlon in ninth place with 5309 points. Of the seven events she competed in, her highest finish was seventh in the javelin throw (36.46m; 119-7).
The Cardinals return to action in two weeks when they head back to Houston to compete in Rice University's J. Fred Duckett Invitational.
