BEAUMONT, Texas – The 45
th installment of the Lamar University Cardinals Hall of Honor induction ceremony will take place Saturday, Oct. 18
th in the Live Oak Ballroom (also known as the Setzer Center Ballroom) at 10 a.m. LU will be officially welcoming five new members into the Hall of Honor which includes Gary Crockett (football), Travesa Gant (women's basketball), Joe LeBlanc (track & field), Brad McMakin (men's golf coach) and Mike Sarbaugh (baseball).

HERE. The 2025 Hall of Honor class honors five different sports, dates back to the 1960s and consists of nine all-conference selections, three school record holders, two athletes who continued their career at the professional level and one national champion.
The Hall of Honor weekend also coincides with Lamar's Homecoming festivities wrapping up with the Cardinals' football game against first-year Southland Conference opponent UT Rio Grande Valley. The game against the Vaqueros is set to kick off at 3 p.m. from Provost Umphrey Stadium. There will also be an on-field recognition of the inductees during the game.
