Massey Signs With FC Bulleen Lions

| By:
BEAUMONT, Texas - Former Lamar University soccer standout Hollie Massey signed with the FC Bulleen Lions on Tuesday. The Lions compete in the Victoria Premier League's first division, which is the third-highest level of professional soccer in Australia.

"We are so excited to see Hollie continue to get opportunities to further her soccer career," said head coach Nathan Kogut. "She was a pivotal piece in helping us win back-to-back Southland Conference titles, and her Player of the Year award is proof of that. This next step in her pro career is a testament to her skill, work rate, resiliency, and constant pursuit of excellence. Our staff and program cannot wait to see her in this next stop of her career."

A prominent member of LU's back-to-back Southland Conference regular season and tournament titles in 2022 and 2023, Massey appeared in 45 matches while starting 42. In her career, the Cheshire, England native accumulated 12 goals, including four game-winners, and 19 assists for 43 points.

Massey's final season in 2023 would be her finest as she led the Cardinals with 23 points (six goals, 11 assists) and earned SLC Player of the Year honors, two conference Offensive Player of the Week awards, and a spot on both the SLC's first and all-tournament teams. In addition, she received national recognition as a member of the United Soccer Coaches All-Midwest Region Second Team.
