BEAUMONT, Texas – As the fall season starts to wind down, the Lamar University women's tennis team heads to the home of a former conference rival Friday to play in one of just two remaining tournaments before they break to focus on the spring. Big Red will take part in Sam Houston Invitational.
The three-day, individual-format tournament will run through Sunday and will consist of four teams. In addition to Lamar and tournament-host Sam Houston, the tournament will also include UTSA and Northwestern State.
The tournament will begin with doubles competition Friday at 2 p.m., with singles matches slated to get underway Saturday at 8 a.m.
Following their trip to Huntsville, LU will close out the fall season the following week at Southeastern Louisiana.
