Arina Gudovskaya's run at the Southland Conference Individual Championships came to an end Saturday afternoon in the semifinals. Gudovskaya took on third-seeded Leticia Tarocco from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
The first set went to a 12
th game before an advantage was gained as Gudovskaya dropped a 7-5 decision. Gudovskaya needed to win the second to force the extra frame but came up short in the second, 6-3.
The fall season is not over for the Cardinals. Big Red will travel to Hammond, La., Friday to compete in the SLU Invitational. The three-day tournament will run through Sunday, Nov. 1
st and will be the Cardinals final tune-up before the start of the spring season.
