BEAUMONT, Texas – Lamar University has strengthened its lineup for the future with the addition of Marika Mueller announced head coach David Wong Friday afternoon.
 
Hailing from Stuttgart, Germany, Mueller has been ranked as high as 75^th according to the TennisRPI rankings in 2021 and 118^th in 2020. Mueller has experience playing at a high level on all courts and brings that knowledge with her to the Golden Triangle.
 
"We're very excited to announce the addition of Marika," said Wong. "She is an extremely talented player who brings a high level of success with her on all courts. She has a lot of weapons she can deploy during a match and will be able to help us in numerous areas. The future of this program is very bright."
 
Mueller has grown up with the sport of tennis in her life. Her mother was a standout collegiate player at SMU during her career.
