BEAUMONT, Texas – Do you have what it takes to be the next Big Red and LU? The Lamar University Athletic Department are holding tryouts to be the next Big Red and LU on Friday, Aug. 16 in McDonald Gym.

The tryouts will run from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Everyone who wishes to tryout must turn in the tryout form (
click here), have proof of health insurance, a physical within six months of tryouts and proof that they are currently enrolled student at Lamar or LIT.

With being Big Red or LU, you have the chance to travel, have scholarship opportunities and other great experiences.
