BEAUMONT, Texas – The Lamar University softball team travels to Ruston, La. to face Louisiana Tech on Tuesday, March 12 with first pitch set for 5 p.m. The contest was originally scheduled for Wednesday but because of inclement weather forecast in the area the game was pushed up one day.

The contest at Lady Techster Softball Complex between La. Tech and Lamar will play a single game and admission is free. Fans can watch a live video stream of the game through a paid subscription to CUSATV.com.

The Lady Techsters enter the midweek contest with the Cardinals with a 16-7 overall record. La Tech is coming off a 1-2 weekend at the Mississippi State Tournament, which was cut short because of weather. Louisiana Tech is coming off a 6-3 win over Mississippi Valley State on Sunday.

At the plate, the Lady Techester are led by Kimmie Atienza who leads the team with a .438 batting average. Mary Terral lead the team with four home runs and 17 RBIs on the season. Morgan Turkoly leads the team with 12 stolen bases. La. Tech has stolen 50 bases on the season.
