Box Score SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Leading 2-1 heading into the sixth inning, Lamar University (5-18, 1-7 SLC) appeared to be in control of Saturday's game against the University of Incarnate Word (14-11, 4-4 SLC). Six runs allowed to UIW in the bottom of the sixth proved too much to overcome, and Big Red ultimately fell to San Antonio's Cards 8-3.
Incarnate Word struck first, scoring a single run in the bottom of the first off two hits. UIW's Cards had loaded the bases with two outs, but starter
Noah Sills struck out the final batter of the inning, stranding three.
Cole Coker collected his second single of the day in the third and scored when
Robin Adames reached first on a fielder's choice error with one out.
Chase Kemp then drove Adames home on an RBI groundout, giving Lamar a 2-1 lead.

Lamar would get one run back in the eighth when Adames was beaned to open the inning. The Bronx, N.Y., native advanced to second on a wild pitch and scored when
