BEAUMONT, Texas – Rain in the Beaumont area has forced the cancellation of Sunday's games of the Cardinal Classic at the Lamar University Softball Complex. The games will not be rescheduled.
 
The host LU Cardinals went 4-0 at this year's Classic, posting a pair of wins on both Friday and Saturday. Saturday's victories were highlighted by a 10-9 come-from-behind win over Alabama A&M in eight innings, as LU rallied from a 9-2 deficit in the bottom of the sixth.
 
The Cardinals (7-6) return to action at 5 p.m. Wednesday when they host Louisiana Tech in a non-conference game. Fans attending Wednesday's game will receive a free T-shirt courtesy of Coca-Cola, while supplies last.
 
TICKETS: For individual-game and season tickets, please call 409-880-1715, or CLICK HERE. The Montagne Center ticket office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. The ticket window at the LU Softball Complex will open one hour prior to first pitch on game days. LU students receive free admission to home games with their Cardinal One card, while Junior Cardinal Club members are admitted for free when they present their membership badge.
