Lady Cards wrap up regular season with win

BEAUMONT, Texas - Mariaryeni Gutierrez remained undefeated in singles play to lead the Lamar University women's tennis team to a 5-2 win over visiting Southeastern Louisiana in a Southland Conference match Saturday.

Gutierrez boosted her record to 20-0, including 19-0 at first singles, with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Audrey Chelini to lead Lamar (12-8 overall, 8-3 conference).

Kaltrina Harbuzi moved to 18-1 in singles with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Morgane Dadot at No. 2 singles.

Natalia Mayagoitia and Diana Mendez also won for Lamar, which will compete in the Southland Conference Tournament starting April 23 in Corpus Christi. Pairings will be announced Sunday night.
