Results

EL PASO, Texas - The Lady Cardinals bounced back from their Friday loss to North Florida on Saturday, posting a 6-1 win over the Miners of UTEP.

At No. 1 doubles Kaltrina Harbuzi and Tanya Roberts took down Katherine Palider and Weronika Bloczynska 8-6. Lamar secured the point by emerging victorious at No. 3 doubles as Maria Gutierrez and Manami Kuroda handed the Miner duo of Samantha Attard and Megan Pritchard an 8-6 loss.

Although the Lady Cardinals had already clinched the point, UTEP was able to win one double match, as Isabela Kulaif and Marina DeLuca knocked off Pamela Martinez and Manijee Ashrafi, 9-7.

With the double point in hand, the Lady Cardinals proceeded to take the match with a 5-1 performance in singles play.

Harbuzi won her match at No. 1 singles with a 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (7-3) win over Bloczynska, Gutierrez defeated Deluca 6-2, 7-5 at No. 3 and Martinez won 6-1, 6-4 at No. 4 over Palider. Wrapping up the victory for the Lady Cardinals was Ashrafi, with a 4-6, 6-4, 7-5 win over Pritchard at No. 5 and Kuroda who posted a 5-7, 6-2, 6-3 win over Vicky Michaud at No. 6

The Lone Victory for UTEP in singles play came at No.2, where Kulaif handed Roberts a 6-3, 6-0 loss.
