Catherine Mudd joined the Lamar University coaching staff in August 2022. She made her way to the collegiate ranks following a successful four-year stint at the club level.
A former standout on the volleyball court, Mudd joins the Cardinals' staff after spending the previous four years working as an assistant with the Texas Invasion Volleyball Club. Mudd was heavily involved with all the day-to-day aspects of coaching including scouting, lineups, stats and in-match coaching.
Mudd now transitions to the sideline to assist the coach she used to play for. During a highly successful collegiate career, Mudd helped make Eastfield College an NJCAA powerhouse. Finishing just short of an NJCAA National Championship in 2018, Mudd would go on to earn honorable mention all-conference honors twice during her at Eastfield. A former conference player of the week, Mudd was named team captain both seasons with the Harvester Bees.
An Academic All-American, Mudd received her associates degree from Eastfield College in May 2020. She transferred to Saint Mary (Kansas) where she graduated with her bachelor’s degree in biology in May 2022.
