Kamryn Harvey sparked a comeback from a two-goal second-half deficit, helping the Cardinals earn a 2-2 draw against Nicholls Sunday afternoon at the LU Soccer Complex. Big Red is now unbeaten in eight of its last nine games.
The Cardinals (4-2-4, 1-1-1 SLC) outshot Nicholls, 17-11, and recorded 10 corner kicks. Harvey assisted on Wilby's goal before scoring the equalizer with the assist coming from

Eloise Bywater made one save in 79 minutes in goal, while senior
Keely Thomas entered to finish the final 11 minutes.
LU came out on the attack, recording three shots in the opening 14 minutes. Nicholls capitalized in the 15th minute, drawing a foul and converting a header off the ensuing free kick to take a 1-0 lead. The Cardinals pushed for the equalizer before the break, including a shot from
Ekemini Udofa that struck the post with one second remaining in the first half.
The Colonels doubled their advantage just 83 seconds into the second half, putting the Cardinals in a two-goal hole. LU continued to apply pressure over the next 18 minutes but was unable to find a breakthrough.
Big Red finally broke through with two goals in the 65th minute. Harvey fed Wilby inside the box and the latter found the bottom-left corner to cut the deficit in half. Moments later, Harvey beat the Nicholls goalkeeper one-on-one to score the equalizer.
Nicholls nearly regained the lead in the 75th minute, but Bywater preserved the tie with a save. LU created another scoring opportunity in the closing minutes but was unable to find the winner and settled for the 2-2 draw.
Big Red will next head up to Commerce to take on East Texas A&M Thursday at Lion Soccer Field. The match will start at 7 p.m and will be streamed on ESPN+.
