BEAUMONT, Texas — Lamar University continues its fall schedule Sept. 14-15 at the Lady Clerico, a two-day tournament hosted by Oral Roberts at Hillcrest Country Club in Bartlesville, Okla.
The Cardinals will face four Southland Conference opponents during the event.
RECAPPING LAST WEEK:
- The Cardinals finished eighth in a 12-team field at the Tulane Classic. Lamar closed the tournament with its best round, carding a final-round 299 after opening the event with rounds of 301 and 307.
- Lamar recorded 10 of its 19 birdies in the final round.
- The Cardinals also ranked fifth in the field with 170 pars, including 54 during the tournament's final round.
TOP INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCES:
- Marta Romero Crespo recorded a top 20 finish at the Tulane Classic, tying for 17th. She got off to a strong start, ending the opening day tied for eighth after carding an even-par 72 in the first round.
- Crespo finished the tournament with five birdies and 37 pars and currently leads the Cardinals with a 74.3 scoring average through three rounds.
- Siria Ballini closed the tournament on a strong note, firing a 2-under-par 70 in the final round. Ballini recorded four birdies and 12 pars.
- The strong finish helped Ballini climb 15 spots in the standings to finish tied for 22nd. She ranks second on the team with a 75.0 scoring average this season.
- Matilda Samervong also closed the tournament strong, recording three birdies and 10 pars in the final round to climb 10 spots and finish tied for 33rd.
- Samervong was one of the tournament's most consistent players, carding 36 pars over 54 holes.
COMPETING IN THE SOONER STATE: This is Lamar's second consecutive season competing at the Lady Clerico … The Cardinals finished ninth in a 12-team field at the event last fall, which marked the program's first trip to Oklahoma since the fall of 2021.

COURSE INFO: Hillcrest Country Club is a private 18-hole course that measures 6,662 yards … According to Golf Digest, the course was ranked among Oklahoma's top 10 from 2007-11 … Most recently, Hillcrest was ranked as the state's 13th-best course.
