NINE IN A HALF IS THE BEST
Nine of Big Red's 13 goals came in the opening half, setting a new program record. The previous mark of eight first-half goals was established against Alcorn State in 2015.
THERE'S ALWAYS ROOM FOR ONE MORE SCORER
LU also set a program record with 10 different goal scorers in a single match. Along with Gross, Sealy and Udofa, seven other Cardinals found the back of the net:
Lillian Beckham,

Elena Scianna,
Lauren Smith and
Anneliese Switzer. The previous record was set in the 2015 game vs. Alcorn State, when nine different Cardinals scored goals.
MARISSA GROSS, MEET ESTHER OKORONKWO
Gross becomes the first Cardinal to score multiple goals in consecutive matches since Esther Okoronkwo during her historic 25-goal season in 2019. Gross leads the team with five goals through seven games this season. For comparison, Okoronkwo started her season with two goals in her first seven appearances.
