FRISCO, Texas – Lamar University senior
Janko Bulajic has been named to the 2026 Academic All-Southland Conference squad announced league officials Wednesday morning. It is the second academic all-conference honor (2023-24) of Bulajic's career.
To be eligible for nomination, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.25 grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale), have completed at least one full semester at the nominating institution in the season in which the nomination occurs and participate in at least 50 percent of the team's games.
A native of Niksic, Montenegro, Bulajic became a key figure off the Cardinals' bench during his career. In his senior season, Bulajic played in 31 games making two starts while averaging 1.5 points, pulling down 3.1 rebounds and dishing out nearly an assist per game. He also shot 60 percent from the field.
For his career, the 6-10 forward played in 100 games making 10 starts. He scored 196 points (2.4 ppg), grabbed 319 rebounds (3.2 rpg), dished out 120 assists (1.2 apg), recorded 34 steals and blocked 28 shots. He also knocked down 96-of-188 (.511) shot attempts.
Bulajic was also a standout in the classroom recording better than 3.71 grade-point averaging while majoring management information systems. The two-time Academic All-Southland selection was named to the President's, Dean's and SLC Commissioner's List numerous times during his career.
