BEAUMONT, Texas – Lamar University head coach Jordan Fee continues to strengthen the future of Cardinals basketball with the announcement of a second wave of signees. Abeeng Agot (6-7, 185, F, Alberta, Canada), Quante Berry (6-4, 185, G, Cleveland, Tenn.), Marko Ljubicic (6-10, 224, F, Zagreb, Croatia), Martin Minarovjech (6-9, 187, G, Slovakia) and Niccolo Moretti (6-1, 180, G, Bologna, Italy) will continue their education at LU and play for the Cardinals.
The incoming class consists of the three guards and two forwards, with three coming via the portal, one junior college transfer and an international signee. The three portal transfers come from the Metro Atlantic and the American Athletic Conference. The newest additions to the roster have more of an international flair with one coming from Canada, Croatia, Slovakia and Italy with Berry representing Cleveland, Tenn.
The second wave of additions brings even more size to the roster with two players standing at least 6-9.
The newest crop of talent brings additional scoring punch to the 2025-26 roster with three double-digit scorers, to go along with Agot who is one of the top junior college prospects. Berry and Agot have made a name for themselves serving as weapons on both ends of the floor. Berry has averaged nearly 1.5 steals per game over his past two seasons while Agot is coming off an All-Region campaign where he averaged better than two blocks per contest.
The newest additions come to the Golden Triangle having played in a combined in 277 games (at either the junior college or NCAA Division I level) making 110 starts.

Murray State College: An NJCAA All-Region II honorable mention selection after guiding Murray State to a regular-season region title … A former Region II Player of the Week selection … Played 54 games making 31 starts during his two years at MSC … Averaged nearly 13 points and six rebounds as a sophomore … For his career, he scored 485 points (9.0 ppg), pulled down 251 rebounds (4.6 rpg), dished out 69 assists (1.3 apg), recorded 86 steals (1.6 spg) and blocked 72 (1.3 bpg) shots.
High School: A three-star prospect according to 247Sports.com … Also rated as the No. 40 combo guard in the country according to 247Sports.

Quante Berry – 6-4 – 185 – G – Cleveland, Tenn./Winston-Salem (NC) Christian (Memphis)
Prior to LU: Spent 2025-26 at Memphis after transferring from Temple … Averaged 10.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.3 steals per game as a sophomore at Temple … For his collegiate career he has played in 88 games making 33 career starts … Has scored 551 points (6.2 ppg), pulled down 235 rebounds (2.7 rpg), dished out 115 assists (1.3 apg) and recorded 83 steals (0.9 spg) during his career.
High School: Rated as the No. 43 point guard nationally by the 247Sports.com … Averaged 16 points and six rebounds at Winston-Salem Christian School … As a junior, averaged 15.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and 4.2 assists while shooting 56 percent from the field and 40 percent from beyond the arc … Averaged 17 points, six rebounds and five assists as a sophomore at Bradley Central High School (Tenn.), earning All-State honors and surpassing 1,000 career points before transferring to Winston-Salem.

Marko Ljubicic – 6-10 – 224 – F – Zagreb, Croatia/Benedikt Kotruljevic Gym (Manhattan)
Manhattan: A two-year letterwinner for the Jaspers … Played in 50 games making 31 starts during his career … During that time scoring 204 points (4.1 ppg), pulled down 132 rebounds (2.6 rpg), dished out 22 assists, recorded 16 steals and blocked 11 shots.
High School: Attended Benedikt Kotruljevic Gymnasium and School of Economics … Won two gold medals in Croatia's U19 championship and played for the U20 Croatian National Team as well as in the first Croatian league for BC Cedevita … Older brother Kresimir Ljubicic plays basketball professionally for BC Split in Croatia.

Martin Minarovjech – 6-9 – 187 – G – Slovakia/Inter SB Bratislava
Prior to LU: A 2025 U20 Slovak and EYBL All-Star selection … Named U23 EYBL finals MVP averaging 19.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game … Named captain of his national team which placed third at the European Championships "B" Division … Member of the five-time (2022-26) undefeated Slovak champion squad … Has been a member of the Slovakian Men's first league since age 16.
Coach Fee on Martin Minarovjech: "Martin is a talented young guard with tremendous upside who brings size, skill and a high-level feel for the game to our program," said Fee. "Coming from Inter Bratislava in Slovakia, he has already shown the ability to compete at a high level. As with any young international player though, making the transition to college basketball will come with a learning curve, but we're excited about his long-term potential and know his best basketball is ahead of him."
Niccolo Moretti – 6-1 – 180 – G – Bologna, Italy/NBA Global Academy (Florida Atlantic)
Prior to LU: Signed with Illinois out of prep school before transferring to Florida Atlantic … Played in 85 games making 15 starts between the two schools … During that time, he scored 428 points (5.3 ppg), pulled down 170 rebounds (2.0 rpg), dished out 236 assists (2.8 apg) and recorded 58 steals … Led the Owls in assists as a junior (110) … Led the American Athletic Conference in assist-to-turnover ratio and ranked in the top 30 in the nation (2.61).
High School: Played at the NBA Global Academy – a year-round training center at Basketball Australia's Centre of Excellence at the Australian Institute of Sport … Competed in the NBA Academy Games in July 2022 in Atlanta, averaging 10.3 points and 3.5 assists per game … Following a return trip to the U.S. in December 2022 for the Tarkanian Classic, recorded a double-double in the G League Winter Showcase with 19 points and 10 assists vs. NBA Academy Africa … Helped lead Italy to a sixth-place finish in the FIBA U18 European Championships in the summer of 2022, averaging 9.0 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists.
