SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah —
Kamaya Moodliar had a stellar day in her debut with the Lamar University women's golf team.
Moodliar shot a total score of 140 to finish the day tied for sixth place after 36 holes of action Monday during the Wolverine Invitational at TalonsCove Golf Club.
Shooting one-under-par in the opening round, Moodliar turned things up a notch in the second round, making six birdies.
She tallied four straight birdies on the front nine during the second round.
"Today was a great day of golf. My mindset was very relaxed and zoned in when it needed to be," Moodliar said. "I am very grateful for my team's constant support. I enjoyed today and I hope to keep consistent."
Moodliar finished with nine birdies for the day.
As a team, LU is in eighth place, just three shots outside of the top five.
The Cardinals made 21 birdies.
Brooke Frerichs carded an eagle during the second round on the fourth hole with a hole-in-one to finish the front nine at one-under-par.
Karolina Krasova is currently just inside the top 25, tied for 23rd.
Cal State Northridge (280-283) holds a six-stroke lead over second place Wyoming.
Ariya Soldwisch of CSU Northridge is tied for first place with Cal State Bakersfield's Sarah Mutai after carding a total score of 138.
