LU volleyball earns academic award from AVCA

BEAUMONT, Texas — For the third time in program history, the Lamar University volleyball team has earned a Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association.

The AVCA announced that 1,450 collegiate and high school volleyball teams were able to maintain a year-long grade point average of 3.3 or better on a 4.0 scale to earn the recognition.

This marks the first time LU earns a Team Academic Award since 2004 and 2003.
