About the Cardinals
Lamar University extended Pete Rossomando's contract after the 2024 season. In his first two years at the helm, Rossomando has hit benchmarks on a historical level. In his first season with the Red and White, Rossomando posted the nation's fourth-largest FCS turnaround shocking all the preseason prognosticators by having the Cardinals in the hunt for a Southland Conference title until the next to last week of the regular season. He followed that up with another winning season in 2024 marking the first time since the mid-1960s that Lamar has recorded back-to-back winning records.
