Home Win Success
LU finished its 2025 home schedule with 16 wins. This is tied for the second-most wins in program history along with the 2013 and 2016 teams. The record for home wins is 19, which was achieved by the 2017 team.

LU vs. UIW & Stephen F. Austin?
LU enters this weekend tied for fifth with Stephen F. Austin (26-24, 14-10 SLC), but SFA holds the tiebreaker due to head-to-head. The best that Big Red can finish is the fourth seed, which would require winning the series against UIW and having SFA drop two of three to McNeese. UIW would only have to win the series against Lamar to finish fourth as it already won the series with SFA earlier.
Â
Hammond or Lake Charles?
Southeastern Louisiana and McNeese are each tied for first in the SLC standings with a 20-4 conference record. McNeese currently holds the tiebreaker over SLU after taking two of three from the Lions earlier in the season. The conference tournament's first round will be divided up into two double-elimination tournaments hosted by the top two seeds. As of Friday, should LU be the fourth or fifth seed, it will go to Lake Charles, La. If LU finishes sixth, it will go to Hammond, La.
