BEAUMONT, Texas - After 10 games away from the LU Softball Complex, Lamar University (10-9) returns home to start a five-game set. The Cardinals begin this week with a Wednesday contest against Texas Southern (0-8). The first pitch will be delivered at 3 p.m., and will be streamed on ESPN+. The game was originally scheduled to be played Tuesday but got moved due to the weather.

Veronica Harrison had three RBIs on two hits in LU's 5-4 win over Tech on Saturday. This included a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning with two runners on and one out.

Madison Guidry went 3-1 over the last week and posted a 2.16 ERA in 22.2 innings. She struck out 13 batters and earned two complete game victories against Louisiana Tech. This performance would earn her Southland Conference Pitcher of the Week honors. Guidry currently leads the pitching staff with five wins, a 3.46 ERA, and 22 strikeouts.

The Lady Tigers are searching for their first win of the season after falling 10-2 to Tarleton State. Last season, the Cardinals defeated TSU as Harrison picked up two hits and drove in the team's only RBI.
