Spotlight - Mallory Pitre
Over the weekend, Pitre appeared in three games and pitched 6.2 innings in which she recorded a 2.70 ERA (two runs) while allowing seven hits and striking out eight batters. She earned her first save of the season when she posted three shutout innings in relief against the Sycamores while striking out a season-high seven batters.

Brodie Quinlan leads the team with 15 hits and a .417 batting average. She is one of two players along with Bela Perez (.278 BA) with seven RBIs and two homers. SHSU's pitching staff has a combined 2.38 ERA with Abigail Young (1-1) having a team-low of 0.82.

The Cardinals head out to Hattiesburg, Miss., this weekend to take part in the Southern Miss. Black and Gold Challenge. LU will take on the Golden Eagles on Saturday (4:30 PM) while it will battle with Jacksonville State (2/28-9 AM; 3/1-9 AM) and Louisiana Tech (2/28-4:30 PM; 3/2-12:30 PM).
