BEAUMONT, Texas —
Kyle Moseley completed the three-inning save to help secure the weekend sweep of the University of Albany Great Danes with a 5-3 victory Sunday evening at Vincent-Beck Stadium.
Lamar University scored its first run in the bottom of the first when
Tab Tracy brought in
Damian Ruiz on a ground out to first.
Hector Rodriguez brought in
Heladio Moreno in the bottom of the second with a ground out to second to make the score 2-0.
On a throwing error by the pitcher,
Zane Spinn was able to score in the fourth.
Ruiz hit a two-RBI double down the left field line in the sixth to extend the lead to five runs.
On two hits and one error, the Great Danes managed to cut the deficit to two runs in the seventh.
The UAlbany bats went cold as the next six batters were retired in order.
