USA held a 6-1 shot advantage before the 28th minute when the Cardinals began to create their scoring chances. LU finished the first half with three more shots, but trailed 1-0 at the break.
Following USA's second goal, the Cardinals had their best opportunity to get on the board in the 64th minute only to be denied by a save from the South Alabama keeper. The Jaguars outshot the Cardinals 5-1 for the final 26 minutes of the contest to preserve the win.
