BEAUMONT, Texas – After a successful start to the 2024 home portion of the schedule – taking two of three against UT Arlington – Lamar University hits the road for a midweek contest at Stephen F. Austin. The game against the Lumberjacks is slated for a 6:30 p.m. first pitch from Jaycees Field.
A growing non-conference rivalry, Tuesday's showdown will mark the 105

The Lumberjacks (3-11) return home after a tough road series at UC San Diego that saw SFA drop a four-game series. SFA has dropped 10 straight after opening the year 3-1.
Tuesday's game will be the second of three scheduled meetings this season with all three coming on a different field. Big Red took the first contest with a 5-0 victory on the second day of the Sugar Land Classic. The two are also slated to meet each other in early April in Beaumont.
The Cardinals hold the all-time advantage in the series posting a 76-28 (.731) all-time mark, which includes their win earlier this year. Lamar won two of three last season and have taken 10 of the previous 12 meetings.
