Max Amling took the first set at No. 1 singles only to see the Wildcats' Dario Kmet battle back to take the second in a tiebreak. In the third set, Amling managed to claim a two games lead heading into the ninth and didn't take his foot off the throttle holding on for a 6-3, 6-7 (8-10), 6-3 victory.
