Fadwa Ben Karim (2.0 IP, one run, six hits, one strikeout) and Aaliyah Ruiz (1.2 IP, four runs, one hit, one strikeout) came in relief for LU.

The Wildcats got one run across in the first inning. But two innings later, they would break the game open with a five-spot to lead 6-0. However, the Red Birds would not be held scoreless for long as Ancelot delivered an RBI single in the fourth inning to get LU on the board.

In the fifth, LU loaded the bases and would score four runs. While Felixia Hinojosa scored on a wild pitch, Milliken drove in two with a double and then Ancelot recorded her second RBI single of the game. The Wildcats extended the lead to 7-5 in the bottom of the fifth, and then held off a bases loaded situation for LU in the top of the sixth. From then on, ACU added four runs to put the game away.

The final game of the I-35 Tournament for the Cardinals will be tomorrow at 12:30 p.m., as they will take on UTSA.
