Cardinals Visit Texas A&M

BEAUMONT, Texas – Lamar University softball continues its six-game road trip when it travels to Davis Diamond in College Station, Texas 6 p.m. Wednesday to face the Texas A&M Aggies (26-18). 

Junior designated player Hannah Kinkade continues to slug her way into the LU (9-30) record books as she smacked two home runs Saturday during a doubleheader at McNeese. Blasting her sixth home run of the season, and 10th of her career, she currently sits at No.8 on the LU softball all-time list. 

Senior pitcher Aaliyah Ruiz also continues to make her presence known in the record books. Ruiz struck out 10 McNeese batters, moving her past Shannon Millman on the LU all-time strikeout list. The Beeville, Texas native currently sits at 230 strikeouts, placing her 39 behind Ciara Luna and 45 behind the LU all-time strikeout leader Laura Napoli. 

The midweek matchup will be aired nationally on the SEC Network. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. Wednesday at Davis Diamond in College Station, Texas.
