BEAUMONT, Texas – Lamar University softball will host Houston Baptist Tuesday evening at the LU Softball Complex.
Junior infielder Hannah Kinkade tied the LU softball (5-20, 1-8 in WAC play) record for most home runs in a single game in the most recent meeting between the two teams. She has three home runs in two games against the Huskies (10-15) this season.
In two games this season, the former conference foes have combined for 39 runs. Eight home runs have been sent over the fence, four for each team. Although the Huskies took both previous meetings this season, they had to do so with a massive late-inning comeback both times. This will be the first meeting of the season series outside the Houston city limits.
First pitch is set for 5 p.m.
