NACOGDOCHES, Texas — The Lamar University women's soccer program dropped their second conference contest of the season to Stephen F. Austin by a score of 2-1 on Thursday evening.
" I'm proud of the effort our team put forward especially considering how depleted we are," said head coach
Steve Holeman. "I thought we showed great resilience to come back from two early goals. We created some good chances to equalize but SFA was the better team tonight."
The opening minutes of the match saw the Ladyjacks open the scoring as the took an early 2-0 lead in first three minutes. Lamar responded with the lone Big Red goal of the contest in the 24th minute off the foot of senior

The Cardinals tallied just seven shots in the contest compared to 21 shots from the counterparts. Shots on goal favored the Ladyjacks has they rallied six on target compared to just three for Lamar. Sophomore
Nicole Panis recorded just three saves in the contest in 22 shots faced.
UP NEXT: The Cardinals will have a days rest before they travel to Huntsville, Texas to take on Sam Houston on Saturday, April 3rd. Kick off is set for 3 p.m. from Pritchett Field.
