BEAUMONT, Texas – The Lamar University softball program is set to take the field in their conference home opener when they welcome Texas A&M-Corpus Christi to the LU Softball Complex.
The Cardinals and Islanders will open up play with a doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m. and game two slated to begin 30 minutes after the conclusion. The teams will complete the series on Saturday with a single game set to begin at 12 p.m. CT.
Senior
Hannah Carpenter leads the Cardinals at the plate hitting .373 on the season with two doubles and two home runs. Freshman
Sydnee Adams follows Carpenter on the season with a .277 average with five runs scored and one run batted in.
