BEAUMONT, Texas – Due to weather conditions and future forecasts within the North Texas region, the inaugural Tracy Beard Classic has been canceled this upcoming weekend.
The decision was made with the thoughts of each team's travel in mind as well as field conditions at Clyde Warren Park in Frisco from the weather sweeping through since Sunday night.
Lamar was set to be joined by Texas, Oklahoma State, Kansas, South Dakota State, Tarleton State and Texas A&M – Corpus Christi at the complex. The Cardinals will now look to find another avenue of competition for the coming weekend. The program's next scheduled contest is Monday, February 22
nd when LU is set to welcome nationally ranked Oklahoma State to the LU Softball Complex.
