BEAUMONT, Texas - Season tickets to Will Davis' fourth year at the helm of Lamar University baseball - in a 2020 season that features an experienced lineup and a revamped pitching staff - went on sale Tuesday, the athletics department announced.

Reserved seating is priced at $126.00 and adult general admission is set at $98.00, while a family four pack is set at a discounted rate of $80.00 per person at a minimum of four season tickets purchased. Fans can buy season tickets by visiting this link to get them online, in person at the Lamar Ticket Office in the Montagne Center, or by calling 409-880-1715.

The 2020 Lamar University baseball schedule features 56 games, including 28 home games and six games against teams that made the NCAA postseason. The Cardinals will open their 2020 season when they host Rhode Island on Feb. 14 and will start Southland Conference play on March 6.

"I think our schedule is the perfect blend of home and road series and has some great power five matchups as well," said head coach Will Davis. "It should be great for our fans while also accomplishing our goal of preparing our team for the rigors of Southland Conference play."

The home slate consists of five conference series including McNeese (Mar. 13-15), Northwestern State (Mar. 20-22), Sam Houston State (Apr. 3-5), Abilene Christian (Apr. 17-19), and New Orleans (Apr. 24-26). The Cards will also host Rhode Island, Akron, and Arkansas-Pine Bluff in non-conference series and Prairie View, UTSA, Southern, and Houston Baptist in non-conference single games.

The season starts on Feb. 14 with a 6 p.m. first pitch against Rhode Island.

The Cardinals enter the 2020 campaign eyeing a return to the Southland Conference tournament for the first time since 2017 and hope for even more, and with seven returning starters and a reloaded pitching staff they're well equipped to achieve that goal. Returning starters include All-Southland selections JC Correa and Avery George, Rhett McCall, Reese Durand, Anthony Quirion, Logan Berlof, and Cole Girouard. Those veterans are joined by newcomers Kelby Weyler, Matthew McDonald, Zach Sweet, and Drew Ardoin. Coach Davis made a point that Lamar will return one of the most experienced lineups in the NCAA for 2020.

"Yeah I expect our offense to be pretty good," said Davis. "It was good last year, and I think we can build on that this season. In addition to the returning starters that we have there's several other guys – Logan LeJeune, Jorge Gutierrez, Cole Secrest, Chase Kemp – that have all started in the past. So technically I almost felt we have like 13 starters. We're pretty excited about that."

Individual game tickets will go on sale in January, and the links for those games are already built into the 2020 schedule page.
