BEAUMONT, Texas – Alan Edwards has resigned from his position as Lamar University head volleyball coach announced Director of Athletics Jason Henderson Tuesday afternoon. Edwards has served as the head volleyball coach for the past four seasons.
 
The decision to step down comes after the Cardinals finished the 2017 season with a 4-22 (.154) overall record and a 2-14 (.125) mark in Southland Conference matches.
