LU women head to Nicholls on Saturday

BEAUMONT, Texas – The Lamar Cardinals look to push their road record to the .500 mark when they face the Nicholls Colonels in a Southland Conference women's basketball game at 1 p.m. Saturday to wrap up a three-game road sojourn.

The Cardinals (12-4 overall, 5-1 Southland) are 3-4 away from the Montagne Center this season. LU is 2-1 in conference road games following Wednesday's 70-44 win at Sam Houston State. Overall, LU is 11-1 in its last 12 games.

Nicholls (5-12, 2-4) has lost three straight games, with the latest setback an 89-73 home setback to Abilene Christian on Wednesday.

LU forces 25.94 turnovers per game to lead the nation; Nicholls is eighth at 22.71 turnovers forced per game.
