BEAUMONT, Texas – The home woes continued for the Lamar Lady Cardinals on Friday as they were blanked for the third time in as many games at the Lamar Soccer Complex in a 3-0 loss to Texas State in a non-conference women's soccer game.

Lamar (1-4) dropped its fourth consecutive game and fell to 0-3 at home.

Lamar goalkeeper Bailey Fontenot made a season-high 14 saves for Lamar, as Texas State held a 20-12 edge in total shots and a 17-5 advantage in shots on goal. One of Lamar's shots on goal came from senior Kristin Bos, who became the first player in Lamar history to record 100 shots on goal for her career.

Texas State (4-0-1) jumped in front at the 13:!5 mark of the first half when Kassi Hormuth barreled her way through the Lamar defense for beating Fontenot.

Landry Lowe made it 2-0 with 1:19 remaining in the first half when her rocket from the top of the box eluded Fontenot. The Bobcats closed out the scoring with 8:09 remaining in regulation when Lauren Prater converted a beautiful crossing pass from Ali Jones.

Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Lauren Lovejoy made her first collegiate appearance for Lamar when she replaced Fontenot with 5:08 remaining in the second half. Lovejoy was not tested.

The Lady Cardinals look to get back on the winning track when they host Prairie View A&M at 1 p.m. Sunday in a non-conference game. Lamar is 4-0 all-time against the Panthers, including a 3-2 victory last season when Jennifer Yacuta scored late in regulation to snap a 2-2 tie,
