NORMAN, Okla. - The Lamar Lady Cardinals gave the Oklahoma Sooners all they could handle before dropping a hard-fought 3-0 decision on the final day of the Oklahoma Nike Invitational on Saturday.

All three sets came down to the wire, with Oklahoma claiming a 25-23, 25-22, 27-25 victory. Cortney Moore and Autumn Taylor had nine kills apiece for Lamar (0-9). Taylor added 10 digs, while Ashley Ellis had 24 assists.

Madison Ward led Oklahoma (8-2) with 10 kills.

The Lady Cardinals return to action when they compete at the Rebel Classic in Oxford, Miss., on Sept. 19-20.
