BEAUMONT, Texas - Led by Ang Green's 18 points, the Lamar University women's basketball team rolled to an 83-66 win over visiting Utah Valley in the consolation round of the Preseason WNIT at the Montagne Center on Friday evening.
Lamar (1-1) will meet Valparaiso (1-1) in the consolation round final at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Montagne Center.
"Ang Green's penetration was good, that's what we need out of her," Lamar coach Larry Tidwell said.
Jenna Plumley had her first double-double of the season for Lamar, finishing with 15 points and 10 assists to go along with seven rebounds. Monique Whittaker had 12 points and Jasmin Henderson added 11 points for the Lady Cardinals, who ran their winning streak at the Montagne Center to 14 games.
