Helene Thill

Helene Thill joined the Lamar athletics department as assistant athletic director for academic affairs on Aug. 15, 2001, and was promoted to associate athletic director in September of 2011.

In addition to her academic duties, Thill serves the university as senior woman administrator.

Thill is responsible for the administration of the academic and student services programs for over 350 student-athletes. Additionally, she oversees the academic advising program for all student-athletes, and is the lead advisor for the sports of football, baseball, women's basketball and men's and women's golf.

Prior to joining the Lamar athletics department, Thill worked as an athletics academic advisor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She also oversaw the department's study hall program and was the tutor coordinator.

A Las Vegas native, Thill received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from UNLV, and earned a Masters Degree in Applied Criminology from Lamar.
